I am very pleased that Spring is here and look forward to consistent days of warmer weather. With respect to keeping our neighborhood clean and beautiful, I am happy to share that our first neighborhood cleanup on April 1, 2017 was very successful. Members of the University of Cincinnati’s Chi Omega Sorority participated in our clean up and they were amazing. They worked very hard and were tremendous partners. In addition to thanking Chi Omega, we need to thank our NANA neighbors, Blake Williams and her team from the North Avondale Recreation Center. Finally, this clean up would not have been such a success without Emily Harten and Maura Wolf’s leadership with respect to organizing this event. There will be two additional clean-up/grounds maintenance activities on April 8th and April 29th in Season good Park.
Now more than ever, we need more neighborhood engagement as we have several initiatives that are in process. In particular, we need volunteers to help plan and execute our Party in the Park (Seasongood) that will take place on June 11th. Additionally, our Strategic Development Committee is working on North Avondale’s Master Plan update, the redevelopment of the vacant lot at Reading and Paddock Roads and drafting NANA’s response to the Neighborhood Business Development District Improvement Program grant application that’s due on April 21st. Please email us at if you would like to assist with any of these activities.
We look forward to your support, assistance and socializing with you this year.
