Partnering Opportunity: Sponsor a Flower Pot Program

We are still in need of monetary donations to support our half of the costs to maintain the flower pots that line Reading Road. The City graciously donates the other half. To donate: go to the NANA Website, About, Donate and check Other and write in Flower Pots or send a check to NANA, with flower pots noted in the memo.

PNC bank donated money to the ToolBank for the month of April for neighborhood cleanups, which we used! Without this generous donation to the ToolBank from PNC bank our neighborhood and others would not be able to keep improving the quality of life in the queen city.

So far we have started the year off with a huge win, as we were awarded with the Clean and Safe Grant from Keep Cincinnati Beautiful. We had a great planning meeting in February with “An Afternoon of Desserts,” hosted at the lovely Bettman Nature Preserve. Then we continued on with the volunteer efforts of nearly 100 University of Cincinnati Students and neighbors during our April 2 Great American Clean Up event. Followed up with Green Up Day on April 30th.

Lastly, Lou Sand of Cincinnati Parks would like to hold a neighborhood event in Seasongood Square Park this summer. The event will have live music and food trucks. Are there any of you out there interested in the planning of this event with me, Emily Harten??? I have already received an interest from a local band to perform.

And, I have a question,…… What programs would you like to see take place in our park, e.g., education, crafting, yoga, gardens, plant/tree identification, dog training classes, bocce ball, Tai Chi, whatever your interest is let me know  at Our park is so key, so essential for each of us. It provides us with a green space, and a SAFE PLACE for us to enjoy each other and our families. This is what makes a neighborhood. Life is so good, enjoy the spring, summer and Seasongood Square Park.
