As fall approaches, so does the flu!  Flu season varies but starts in October and can extend until May.  The flu is spread from coughs or sneezes.  One prevention is the annual flu vaccine.  It is especially recommended for those with chronic health conditions like diabetes.  The flu shot can be given to babies 6 months old or older and women who are pregnant, even though discussions with a doctor are recommended especially if there is a question as to whether you should get one or not.  Flu shots are available at doctor offices, community pharmacies and at all Cincinnati health centers in late fall.
