Law & Safety Committee Update – September 2014

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to participate in Citizens on Patrol. There are still two more recruitment classes for the Citizens on Patrol Program this year. The goal of this program is to help deter and eliminate crime from neighborhoods.

3rd Quarter: Application due by September 10th
Training Dates: Weekend Sept. 13, 14 – 9:30am to 4:30pm

4th Quarter: Application due by October 1st
Training Dates: Thursdays Oct 9, 16, 23 – 5:30pm -9:30pm

Street Captains needed:
A Street Captain gathers and documents contact information for neighbors on their street to facilitate communication among neighbors for special events (e.g, block parties), crime prevention concerns (e.g., watching neighbors houses while their away, reporting suspicious behavior), or in the event of an emergency.
