EVERYONE THINK SPRING! TIME TO CLEANUP OUR NEIGHBORHOOD & PARKS. Say hello to neighbors and meet new neighbors!!!! Time to get the garden clothes out and garden shoes/boots on.

1). April 2nd Great American Cleanup Day

Meet at North Avondale Recreation Center (617 Clinton Springs) to sign up. 8 or 8:30 set up. We will disperse from there. I have a minimum of 50 volunteers coming from University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, etc. The volunteers arrive about 9:00 to 9:30am, some by bus, to begin their work and depart at approximately 11:00 or 11:30. We need to have at least 100 people. We will make a strong impact on the litter as neighborhood volunteers join with the students. Also, the more volunteers we have the higher our chances of winning grant money for our neighborhood projects.

2). April 30th Cincinnati Parks Green Up Day

Seasongood Square Park and Martin Luther King Park. Set up 8:00 to 8:30 am Sign in to work until 11:30am. Pizza at noon. This date is very important for us too, when writing grants for money to go towards our neighborhood improvements. For example, the 2 NEW Flower Pots due to winning $500 from Keep Cincinnati Beautiful in OUR efforts as a neighborhood

On both dates wear appropriate clothing and shoes whether you pick up litter or plant flowers. And if you have your own work gloves bring them so we are certain that our volunteers coming to help us will be provided with gloves.

Stay tuned for our meeting date to discuss these two neighborhood events.
