October is already here with a lot of news and information in our newsletter, so I will keep my message short. But here are a three items I would like to point your attention to:
- The beautification committee hosted a clean-up day Saturday September 19th with focus on the mural garden area. A huge thank you to Janet and Bob Banks, Cindy Crown, Edie Gaudio, John Johns, and the Xavier students who all volunteered their time. The mural garden looks great! It is amazing what a few hours volunteer work can do to keep our neighborhood beautiful, so I would encourage everyone to consider volunteering … even only an hour or two … either in our gardens or just for general clean up in and around the streets. Please contact anyone on the NANA beautification committee or board, and we can keep you updated on organized volunteer events.
- NANA has been updating our website with a new “look and feel”, and also with enhancements including online membership sign up and dues pay, and more comprehensive communication about current and upcoming events and projects committees are working on. The site will be going live soon, so stay tuned! A communication will be sent when the site is ready and you can check it out then.
- We are also very excited to welcome the new City Manager Harry Black to the NANA general meeting on November 11th. Please mark your calendars to attend this meeting in the NAM Cafetorium and come prepared with any questions you may have for the City Manager.
Have a great October!
