President’s Message

Dear neighbors,

The Cincinnati Neighborhood Summit “Making Your Place” will take place at the Cintas Center on March 12th. This is a summit where the city administration, politicians, and the neighborhoods come together to discuss current topics, celebrate successes, and learn from each other how to make the city work better. The neighborhoods are the backbone of Cincinnati, so broad participation is critical. Registration is free, so please see the great agenda, note the date next Saturday, and register at Let’s make sure North Avondale is well represented!

Congratulations to the Beautification committee for receiving the $2,000 KCB Safe and Clean Grant this week. Thank you to Bridget, Emily, Julie, Maura, and Richard for planning and submitting the application. Funds are to be used to purchase services and supplies to clear overgrowth and control weeds along public walkways. The focus will be on Rose Hill Lane and the curve where Dana Avenue approaches the roundabout. Combined with the funds, we also need help from all our volunteers to make this project impactful. Many of us have signed up to help, so stay tuned for more detailed information from Emily and Bridget. With spring approaching, the neighborhood cleanup events are also on the schedule (see Committee Updates pg. 2). Please come and help make North Avondale shine for the spring season!

Please consider joining the NANA nominating committee. This committee identifies and recommends candidates for the NANA open board positions for the election at our annual meeting in May. Please consider volunteering for being part of the nominating committee … and obviously also consider becoming a candidate for the board. (see Committee Updates)

See the key agenda items for NANA’s general meeting on March 8th. If you have any other topics for the general body, please feel free to email me in advance of the meeting or just bring it up during the meeting. We do set an agenda in advance of the meeting, but we always welcome any topics to NANA’s attention.

In the meantime, please visit our website for general info, committee updates, and to pay your NANA dues online at
