President’s Message

Dear Neighbors,

Welcome back to school.

North Avondale Neighborhood Association (NANA) meets monthly, on every second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm, at North Avondale Montessori Cafetorium or Recreation Center. All meetings are open to the public. Meeting agenda and minutes are published here

In Memory

Forever in our North Avondale Heart. We wanted to share a special tribute to Marvin Masterson Past President of NANA. North Avondale will remember you always. Marvin, the community will miss your smile, your passion your unfailing positivity and team encouragement, and your charm. Flowers were sent from NANA to his funeral and we are hopeful in memory of NANA Presidents who have passed away to plant a memorial tree at the Marian Triangle (east side of Reading at Clinton Springs) this fall.

If you missed the Wasson Way Phase One Ribbon Cutting Celebration you can learn more: Wasson Way website ( or the  Ribbon cutting event page on Facebook. The first phase of the Wasson Way bike trail opened 9:30 (am) on July 28th.  Phase 1 extends from Madison Road west to the approach of the Bridge across I-71. Construction on Phase 2 that extends the trail across I-71 towards Xavier University will begin shortly.

Neighbors & Fun

The Yard of the Month initiative is a neighborhood-wide plan to award yards that are creatively landscaped, decorated, or simply well taken care of. Below is the first Yard of the Month. The Yard of the Month provides an outlet for people to contribute positively to their community.
