Dear neighbors,

NANA held its 55th annual meeting on Sunday May 17th. A new board was elected, so please join me in thanking the outgoing board members for their great service, Carolyn Gillman (3rd Vice President) and Nicole Patitucci (Recording Secretary), as well as Beth Ewing (Beautification Chair). They are leaving large shoes to fill, but I am confident the new board will be strong and active, and as a team we will keep moving North Avondale forward. In addition to myself, the board will consist of Michael Caporale (1st Vice President), Marvin Masterson (2nd Vice President), Dana Will (3rd Vice President), Carolyn Feldhaus (Corresponding Secretary), Tiffany Tribble (Recording Secretary), and Tom Wright (Treasurer). Please join me in thanking the nominating committee for their great service and the new board members for taking on this responsibility for the coming year.

Thank you also to our great guest speakers at the meeting. Margo Warminski, Preservation Director for the Cincinnati Preservation Association, gave us wonderful insight into the history of North Avondale and what is means to be a designated historical district. Satolli Glassmeyer, President of History in your own backyard, showcased very interesting videos they produce about historical locations and neighborhoods. And finally, thank you to the New School Montessori for hosting our general meeting in their beautiful auditorium, and to Valerie Williams with Five Star Foodies for excellent catering of the event. (see pictures on page 6)

We hope to see as many of you as possible at our next general meeting on June 9th as we will be taking a break in July and not having a General Meeting until August 11, and in the meantime, please visit our website for general info, committee updates, and to pay your NANA dues online.

Finally, I hope that the school year is wrapping up well, and that everyone is enjoying being outside with the warmer temperatures and the pools open again! Have a great summer!
