What a beautiful October month we had this year! The unseasonably warn weather will unfortunately come to an end soon, but it was fun with a Halloween (almost) without rain and hats and gloves! It appeared to be a large crowd of Trick-or-Treaters in North Avondale this year, and from what I could observe, all looking appropriately scary, but otherwise nice and polite!
This means we are also getting closer to the holiday season, so in a few weeks Reading Road will be decorated with holiday banners. We hope you will enjoy them! As the season for gardening is definitely coming to an end this year, I want to thank our Beautification Committee and congratulate them on another successful year keeping our parks and common areas looking great! And also, a huge thank you to all the volunteers who supported our larger clean-up events this year.
NANA is as usual hard at work, and as mentioned in the last newsletter, we are very excited to welcome City of Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley to the NANA general meeting next Tuesday, on November 10th. Please mark your calendars to attend this meeting in the NAM Cafetorium (entrance behind the North Avondale Recreation Center). Come prepared with any questions you may have for the Mayor. It is of mutual benefit to provide strong community input to the city’s top official! Please invite your neighbors to come as well.
And finally, as we are approaching the end of the year, we want to thank all the NANA members and contributors for all the continued support. Also note that we appreciate all feedback from the residents on what we do well and on what we should do more of. So please feel free to reach out to the NANA board with your opinion. If you have not yet paid your NANA dues, please consider doing so this month. We will send a reminder out early December as well.
Have a great November and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!
