If you are not already too busy removing all the leaves that fell on the ground in your garden, I would encourage everyone to take long walks in the neighborhood streets this month. The fall colors are still spectacular to watch, and it is a great way to embrace the cooler weather. We are also getting closer to the holiday season, so in a few weeks Reading Road will be decorated with our holiday banners. We hope you will enjoy them!
NANA is as usual hard at work, and as mentioned in the last newsletter, we are very excited to welcome the new City Manager Harry Black to the NANA general meeting next Tuesday, on November 11th. Please mark your calendars to attend this meeting in the NAM Cafetorium (entrance behind the North Avondale Recreation Center) and come prepared with any questions you may have for the City Manager. Please invite your neighbors to come as well.
And finally, as we are approaching the end of the year, we want to thank all the NANA members and contributors for all the continued support. Also note that we appreciate all feedback from the residents on what we do well and on what we should do more of, so please feel free to reach out to the NANA board with your opinion. If you have not yet paid your NANA dues, please consider doing so this month. We will send a reminder out early December as well.
Have a great November and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!
