On Wednesday, October 30th at 10 a.m., Wasson Way, CROWN Cincinnati and Xavier University hosted a groundbreaking for Wasson Way 6B, which will run through Xavier’s campus. Community leaders from Cincinnati and Norwood attended this brief ceremony marking the development’s next phase.
The event took place on the west side of Montgomery Road, adjacent to the former Delicio restaurant. It included remarks from Xavier President Hanycz and Wasson Way board chair, Sean McGrory.
Wasson Way 6B will be completed in two parts. The first phase, connecting the Montgomery Road Trailhead on the west side through Station Way on Xavier’s campus, begins immediately.
The remainder of 6B will be completed contemporaneously with the construction of the new College of Osteopathic Medicine, with an estimated completion date of January 2027. The College will sit adjacent to the trail as it winds through campus and meets Dana Avenue and the already completed 6A. This last phase connects Evanston and Avondale and runs between the neighborhoods of Cincinnati and Norwood.
