President’s Message – January 2026

Happy New Year, North Avondale.

January always invites us to pause, reflect, and reset. As we step into 2026, I am filled with gratitude for this neighborhood and the people who continue to show up with care, intention, and pride in where we live.

Tonight, we gather once again for our General Body Meeting at the North Avondale Recreation Center. After a full and festive December, it feels good to return to the table together and begin the year grounded in purpose and community. Our agenda reflects meaningful work ahead and continued progress on our Master Plan and Historic Designation efforts .

As you read through this month’s newsletter, you will see so many reminders of what makes North Avondale special. The Luminary Stroll brought warmth and beauty to our streets in December, lighting the way not just with candles, but with connection. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make that evening so memorable.

You will also find updates on Revive Cincinnati, a citywide initiative focused on improving key access points like the Mitchell Avenue corridor. Members of our neighborhood have been actively engaged in these conversations, offering ideas that prioritize walkability, bike connections, greenspace, and thoughtful development that benefits our community. This work, alongside our Historic Designation and Master Plan efforts, speaks to our commitment to shaping growth with care and intention.

January also brings opportunities to support one another in very tangible ways. The Food Box Giveaway at Zion reminds us that community means making sure no neighbor is left behind. Whether you are receiving support or helping spread the word, these acts of care strengthen us all.

As we begin this new year, I encourage you to stay engaged. Attend meetings. Read the updates. Ask questions. Share ideas. Our association is strongest when it reflects the voices and values of the people who call North Avondale home.

Thank you for your continued trust, your participation, and your love for this neighborhood. I look forward to all that we will build together in 2026.
