Downtown & Uptown Wayfinding Community Engagement Sessions

The Department of Transportation & Engineering (DOTE) is inviting you to participate in a community engagement session for the City of Cincinnati’s Downtown & Uptown Wayfinding project, an initiative to reimagine how people navigate and experience the city. We welcome your input as part of this important effort.

Cincinnati’s Downtown and Uptown districts are home to vibrant neighborhoods, cultural destinations, businesses, educational and healthcare institutions, parks, and civic spaces. The City is exploring opportunities to improve how residents and visitors find their way around these areas through updated signage, placemaking, digital tools, and inclusive design that supports people of all abilities. Community input will help shape a more memorable, accessible, and easy-to-navigate experience that reflects the unique character of each district and its neighborhoods.

We are hosting two in-person community engagement sessions to gather feedback 
through mapping exercises and group discussions. Each session will focus on destinations, places, and experiences specific to its respective district. You are invited to attend the session most relevant to your interests and experiences. Both sessions are free and open to the public.

During the session, you will have the opportunity to:

• Share your experiences navigating Downtown and Uptown Cincinnati.
• Identify challenges and opportunities related to wayfinding, signage, and accessibility.
• Participate in interactive mapping and group discussions.
• Share ideas for creating a more welcoming, intuitive, and connected experience for residents and visitors.
• Help inform future recommendations for the City’s wayfinding system.
