Ohio Open Doors: Inside the Justice System

This special event is part of the Ohio Open Doors initiative and the America 250-Ohio celebrations. Hosted through a collaboration between the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Hamilton County Law Library, Hamilton County Clerk of Courts Office, and Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas, the event will give community members an opportunity to step inside the courthouse and learn more about the people, programs, and processes that make up our local justice system.

The afternoon will include:

• A featured panel discussion, “The Pillars of Our Democracy,” in the Hamilton County Law Library, featuring leaders from across the local justice system and moderated by Kyla Woods of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
• A self-guided Justice Passport experience, allowing attendees to explore different areas of the courthouse and visit stations featuring departments, initiatives, specialty dockets, and other aspects of the justice system.
• Opportunities to meet justice system professionals, ask questions, explore historic courthouse spaces, and learn more about how our courts and justice agencies serve the community.
