CHPL’s Winter Checkout Challenge Begins with Free Sign-up Prizes
Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library’s Winter Checkout Challenge is back – along with free CHPL swag, exciting activities, and plenty of surprise prizes for you to win!
Starting now until Friday, Feb. 24, customers 18 years or older can sign up online or in-person for this annual event where you can win prizes by doing something you love – using the Library.
Read on to learn how to sign up, complete activities, and enter to win a grand prize, and bookmark CHPL.org/winter for all the details and updates for this winter’s hottest library event.
How to Sign Up
Signing up for the Winter Checkout Challenge is easy, quick, and best of all comes with a free prize! Either visit one of our 41 library locations and ask for an entry form or sign up online. You’ll also receive a stylish Winter Checkout Challenge tote bag just for joining the challenge. You must be 18 years or older to participate.
How it Works
Once you’ve started your Winter Checkout Challenge, you’ll see 16 exciting activities ranging from listening to a CHPL podcast to using our Book Hookup service to find your new favorite read.
Complete at least five of these activities by marking them off on your Winter Checkout Challenge entry form or online and stop by any CHPL branch library for an awesome mug, complete with CHPL and Winter Checkout Challenge logos.

Enter to Win a Grand Prize
The fun doesn’t end once you’ve completed your Winter Checkout Challenge. All finishers are entered for a chance to win one of our Grand Prizes.
If you signed up for the Winter Checkout Challenge in-person, you’ll be entered for a chance to win when you return to any library location to receive your completion prize.
If you signed up online, you’ll automatically be entered for a chance to win once you’ve completed at least five Winter Checkout Challenge activities.
