Artworks has installed a new mural series called “Pillars of Cincinnati”. Five new murals feature leaders of the Avondale community. One of the murals is in North Avondale on Dana Avenue at Winding Way. It features Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth, a leading advocate for civil rights in this country. He was friends with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who stayed at Shuttlesworth’s North Avondale home on several occasions.
