Cincinnati Metro and the Bus Rapid Transit team of contractors spoke at the October Master Plan meeting. Liz Peak of Regional Mobility Group led the presentation and discussion. There was a good turnout, and most of the time was allotted for questions and answers.
Some of the key things learned include:
- There will be two stations at or near Dana and Reading, and at least one will likely use Seasongood Square Park space.
- The platforms will be raised for direct walk-on access much like streetcar platforms downtown and will include covered seating and ticket sales.
- Two lanes of Reading Road will be dedicated to BRT buses and only available to cars as turn lanes.
- The buses will be articulated, essentially two buses joined by an accordion section.
- The buses will run every 10 minutes until the routes combine near UC; the combined routes create a wait time of only 5 minutes between buses.
- There is a general expectation of commercial development near the bus stops.
During the presentation, attendees were invited to vote in an online survey. The survey, available here, allows residents to rank three possible station design concepts and provide feedback about the designs. Residents can also help name the Bus Rapid Transit service.

During the November meeting of the Master Plan committee, Urban Fast Forward presented preliminary land use maps for inclusion in the Master Plan.
