Vanessa Sorensen (Marion Ave.) will be participating in “Artist’s Proof: A Showcase of Prints by Members of Tiger Lily Press” art exhibition. The show will be February 27-March 31 at Mount St. Joseph University. The gallery reception is March 5, from 2-4pm and the Artist walk-through is March 25 from 2-4pm. The show is located in “Studio San Giuseppe Art Gallery” on the campus of Mt. St. Joseph, 5701 Delhi Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45233.
The title of the exhibition refers to the printmaking term “artist’s proof (A.P.)” which is an impression of a print taken in the printmaking process to see the current printing state of a plate while the plate is being worked on by the artist.
Tiger Lily Press (TLP) is a non-profit, all volunteer-run printmaking studio located in the Dunham Recreation Center in West Price Hill. Its mission is to produce, preserve and promote the art of printmaking in the Cincinnati area. The studio maintains press facilities for etching, non-traditional lithography, letterpress, and screen printing. Studio San Giuseppe is a nonprofit art gallery located in the Dorothy Meyer Ziv Art & Design Building on the campus of Mount St. Joseph University, at the crossroads of Delhi and Neeb in Delhi Township, 15 minutes west of downtown Cincinnati.
