North Avondale native, now Chicago jazz singer, Petra van Nuis, will be presenting Petra’s Recession Seven live on Friday, May 5, in Chicago. Can’t make it to Chi-Town? You can access it via live stream on that date or within the next week for $10 ($11.24 with tax/fee).
The group features Andy Brown on guitar, Art Davis on trumpet, Russ Phillips on trombone, Eric Schneider on reeds, Dan DeLorenzo on bass, and Bob Rummage on drums. They play hot jazz of the 1920s, 1930s plus 1940s swing.
