This coming Tuesday, July 14th, our NANA General Meeting will focus on answering your questions about how Historic District designation could affect your specific home improvement ideas.
This meeting will NOT be held at the North Avondale Recreation Center. Instead, we’ll meet at the Avon Woods Nature Center (4235 Paddock Rd.), located inside the golf course.
If you’ve been wondering, “Could I replace my porch railing?” “Can I build an addition?” “Would I need approval for this project?”—this meeting is for you.
Bonus points if you bring a photo of your home or sketches of projects you’re considering.

By the time you read this, July 4th will already have come and gone. I hope everyone had a fun & safe holiday! I know it’s sometimes easy to take our freedoms for granted, but I’ve had a few international experiences that, for me, have really reinforced that not everyone gets to enjoy them. We are fortunate to live in a wonderful neighborhood in an amazing country!

Do YOU have an idea on how to improve North Avondale?
By September 28, North Avondale can submit up to three neighborhood improvement projects for consideration for City funding. Projects need to be consistent with Plan Cincinnati and help “preserve and/or revitalize” North Avondale.
In past years, North Avondale has received funding for projects such as:
• Historic plaques
• Playground and athletic field improvements
• Improved neighborhood lighting
You can check out the kinds of projects that the city has previously funded here.
Examples include:
* Community gateway features and wayfinding signage
* Pedestrian improvements
* Park and recreation facility improvements
* Landscaping and water fountains
* Playground equipment
* Neighborhood planning studies
It’s your neighborhood and your tax dollars.
