Revive Cincinnati
Revive Cincinnati is a City initiative to make our City more appealing and inviting by improving key access points to the City, such as the Mitchell Avenue exit area. Ken, Dawn, Sarah and Walter have been attending the meetings and providing local ideas for the designs. We feel very positive about the concepts and designs. They include bike/hike connections from North Avondale to the Mill Creek Trail now starting at Salway Field, as well as a water access point behind the Ford dealer. Commercial development and improvements are also included for Mitchell Avenue.
The purpose of Revive Cincinnati is:
Reconnecting walking and biking connections between and within neighborhoods,
Planning for development opportunities on unused or remnant ODOT land,
Bringing positive economic development to the neighborhoods adjacent to I-75 as a result of the improvements, and
Identifying priorities for future investments.

Historic Designation
Matthew Cornell has done an incredible amount of work on this and believes we have completed the application package to the City for North Avondale’s initial historic designation area. NANA has received interest in expanding the designated area and we understand this to be relatively easy once our first designation is obtained. Although review may take several months and pose additional hurdles, we thank Matthew for all his work on this.
Master Plan
We received a draft of the Master Plan in November that included extensive edits by the City. We had hoped to be at a point near completion this Fall, but it now appears we have a substantially modified document to review. We also lost our project manager at Urban Fast Forward this Fall. We will be meeting January 8th at the North Avondale Recreation Center to review and regroup.
