Victory Parkway Greenspace – Park and Nature Enthusiasts, Volunteers Needed! June 2022

Neighbors and Cincinnati Parks are starting a new effort to improve the Victory Parkway Greenspace, bounded by Ledgewood Ave, Victory Parkway, Winding Way, and the Xavier baseball field. Many of us enjoy this lovely greenspace for frequent walks, often with pets and kids. Currently, Xavier maintains the lawn area and Parks is responsible for trees. In May, we met to discuss initial goals: replacing trees lost over the last several years to maintain canopy, improving the pathway leading from Winding Way into the greenspace for easier access and safety, and possibly removing invasive shrubs and vines choking the wooded area. All of this is going to be highly dependent on volunteer help!  We are organizing to make it all happen. Please contact Teresa Harten at teresaharten@msn.com and Allen Kroth at avjkroth@gmail.com, if interested.
