What’s going on at 882 Clinton Springs?

From the City of Cincinnati:

Thank you for contacting us. We have an open set of orders with 9 violations originally, but all were corrected except for two; obtain permits and restore fire separation and a second set of orders originally with 11 violations and all completed except for 1; rebuild a retaining wall. There is an open electrical permit to install new service obtained in September 2023. We have the parking on the front yard complaints but apparently the inspector has been unable to observe the illegal parking to issue an order. I am going to reopen the case filed on December 6 and see what we can do about this. I will talk to the inspector about the evidence we do have. I’ll know more in a week or so. Let us know of any further concerns please.

From Officer Crutcher:

I know it has been an ongoing issue for a long time and I think the 20 issued violations are proof that it is being taken seriously. Unfortunately, our hands are often tied by red tape and procedures that require us to allow the owner an opportunity to fix (or show an initiative to fix) the problems. I’m hoping to push a little heavier on this after the holidays.

On a second note, regarding the three houses under construction across the street; I have been able to loop the Board of Health in and am waiting on a timeline from them.
