Hello Neighbors,
What a year this month has been!
It has been a challenge adjusting to these extraordinary circumstances and doing our best to stay healthy and sane. In the midst of everything, I am constantly reminded what a great community North Avondale is! One look at social media will tell you what an amazing and supportive group of people we have living all around us. I have seen folks reading stories for kids, offering to pick up groceries, organizing scavenger hunts, patronizing local restaurants (to go only of course) and generally being positive and keeping spirits high. This is what makes North Avondale Cincinnati’s best address.
One way that you can get involved in supporting our neighborhood is by joining the NANA board! The Nominating Committee is still looking for folks who would like to serve for the next term. If you or one of your neighbors is interested, please reach out to me or our wonderful committee chair, Patrice Watson ( patricewatson10@gmail.com ). Now is your chance to bring all of your great ideas for North Avondale to life!
We will be voting to ratify the slate of candidates at our Annual Meeting as usual. At the moment we are proceeding with planning the meeting for May 17th. We are monitoring the current health situation and we will adjust the meeting date if shelter in place orders are still in effect.
This month’s NANA general body meeting will be hosted via Facebook Live in order to maintain our social distancing requirements. On Tuesday April 14th at 7pm , I will start up the live broadcast and work through our short business agenda. Anyone who is participating will be able to ask questions, make comments or cast a vote via the comments section of the broadcast. If you are not already following us on Facebook, please visit https://www.facebook.com/NorthAvondaleNeighborhoodAssociationCincinnati/
Click the follow button and you will be added to our page. We will be sending out an invite to the event to all of our page followers or you can simply visit our page during the live broadcast to join in.
See you all there! Until then stay home and stay safe.
