Jeffrey Lee Knoop, (formerly of Burton Woods Lane) born May 9, 1947, in Casstown, Ohio, passed January 17, 2023, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, surrounded by Mary Ann, his wife of 49 years, and their sons, Matt and Aaron, and daughter Rebecca. His father Arthur, mother Alice, and sister Caryll Ann preceded him, and he is survived by his wife, children, and six beloved grandchildren, Jack, David, Evan, Benjamin, Claire, and Alice.
Jeff loved classical music, fixing things, and making lists. He had an infectious laugh, a thunderous clap, and an awesome mustache. He told both good jokes and bad and enjoyed playing bridge in his retirement. He was the kindest man many ever met.
Jeff loved his wife Mary Ann, who ensured his comfort and happiness his many years but especially his most recent. Their 50th wedding anniversary is this coming September 1st.
Jeff also loved his children and generously supported their many activities and endeavors through coaching, refereeing, spectating, driving, and buying. He adored his grandchildren and doted on them at every opportunity.
Dubbed the “Sheriff”, Jeff was above all a man of honor, integrity, and commitment. He taught right from wrong, made good on his promises, and supported numerous causes seeking to improve the lives of others. He treated everyone with respect, dignity, and courtesy.
A graveside service was held Friday, January 20, 2023, in the meadow at Heritage Acres Memorial Sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
