City Council Approves ADU Ordinance

North Avondale has many carriage houses and 3rd floor living spaces that might be converted to Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). The ordinance also allows for the construction of a second dwelling unit on a lot.

The ordinance lacks any standards for architectural conformity as NANA suggested in our comments on the proposal. NANA intends to provide a more complete review in a future article.
