Healing Touch Center of Cincinnati Responds to Recent Youth Violence with a Call for Stability, Structure, and Community Investment

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

4/28/2026

CINCINNATI, OH — In response to the recent rise in youth violence across Cincinnati, the Healing Touch Center of Cincinnati is stepping forward with a message rooted in both urgency and solution: violence is not random, is the result of instability, and it can be prevented.

“At Healing Touch, we see what others often don’t,” said a spokesperson for the organization. “We see the instability behind the headlines. We see the young people navigating chaos without structure, support, or a safe place to land. When the city sees violence, we respond with structure, safety, and a bed that changes the trajectory of a life.”

Healing Touch Center of Cincinnati has long been committed to serving underserved populations by providing stable, supportive housing for individuals facing homelessness, reentry after incarceration, mental health challenges, and crisis situations. Their work sits at the intersection of housing, healing, and prevention.

“Violence grows where stability is missing. We provide the stability,” the organization emphasized. “Housing is violence prevention. When a young person has a safe place to sleep, consistent expectations, and access to support, their decisions—and their future—begin to change.”

At a time when communities are searching for solutions, Healing Touch is calling for a broader understanding of what truly reduces violence. While enforcement plays a role, long-term change requires investment in root causes: housing, mental health support, and community-based care.

The organization’s model transforms neglected and underutilized properties into structured, supportive homes—creating not just shelter, but environments where accountability, mentorship, and healing can take place.

“We turn blighted properties into safe homes, and safe homes into safer communities,” the statement continued. “If we are serious about curbing youth violence, we must be equally serious about creating spaces where young people can stabilize, heal, and rebuild.”

Healing Touch Center of Cincinnati invites city leaders, community partners, and residents to join in expanding solutions that address violence at its source—before it reaches the streets.
