It is amazing to think that it was only 11 years ago when these two celebrated with us, speaking at the opening of our new building! They were students at North Avondale School about 90 years ago. The lives of 1st Lt John H. Leahr, a Tuskegee Airman, and 1st Lt Herbert M. Heilbrun, a B-17 bomber pilot are honored on the bench in front of our school (dedicated May 12, 2017). Now the 45229 post office has been named for them. May they Rest In Power and Peace and never be forgotten.
